Spicy is taking over the world!

The bluffing card game Spicy, released in 2020, has already learnt 11 languages and travelled to 15 countries on its world tour – with more to come soon.

Spicy, probably the hottest card game by the Designer Zoltán Győri for 2-6 players, from 10 years and up, is already available in 11 languages and 15 countries. In addition to Germany and Austria, Spicy is also available in the respective national languages in China & Taiwan at Swan Panasia Games, in France at Iello, in Italy at Studio Supernova, in the Netherlands at 999 Games, in Portugal at MEBO Games, in Spain at Asmodee Spain, in Korea at UBO CnC, in the Czech Republic at Blackfire and in Hungary at Gém Klub.

Spicy is the first card game in the Radiant Culture Series, which shines with a special metallic print on both the back of the card and the box. The design of the card front by illustrator Jimin Kim also reflects the history of the card game. However, Spicy is at least equally convincing due to its simple and at the same time challenging game principle. In Spicy, cards with increasing numbers of points and the same type of spice are played face down. The number of points and the spice of the cards must be announced, which can be directly challenged by the other players. But the other player must decide which of the two possibilities was bluffed. If he recognises the bluff correctly, he gets all the cards played, otherwise he has to draw two cards. The possibility of bluffing in one of two aspects makes Spicy suitable for new players or players who are otherwise not very successful in similar games. With the 6 game variation cards, Spicy also offers a high replay appeal, as the course of each game can be changed and is thus also interesting for frequent players. The success of the title is also reflected in the national and international awards. Spicy  was nominated for Golden Geek Light Game of the Year and Golden Geek Best Card Game in 2020. Furthermore, Spicy was awarded the “Spiele Hit Karten 2020” by the “Wiener Spieleakademie” and made it onto the “Spiel des Jahres 2020 Empfehlungsliste” (recommendation list). In Hungary, Spicy won the Mensa Társasjátékverseny. Currently, it is also nominated for “best family game graphics” at the Graf Ludo 2021 game graphics prize and is among the last 6 game titles here. The publication of the result will follow shortly.
