VOLT Robot Design Contest Winners + Map Editor

The winners of the Volt competition have finally been announced! In addition, you can now create your own maps at volt.heidelbaer.de.

Creative robot designers had until 16 August 2020 to design their arena champion for VOLT. Now HeidelBÄR Games and its global partners Galakta in Poland, Asmodee in Spain and Asmodee in the USA have decided the winners!

In the category kids, Leonhard (11 years old) won with his Firefox 2000. Congratulations!

Many thanks to all the children who participated. All the drawings were very beautiful and the ideas very creative, so our jury had a difficult decision.

The winner for Poland is Szcezepan Marcinie with his Otwieracz do Puszek – the can opener. The winner for Spain is Hector Otero with his Centauro and for the USA Jay Treat won with his Robot Arms.

For Germany, Benno Thönelt won with his Electra. 2nd place went to Willi Schumacher with his Mantaur and 3rd place to Sébastien Maerten with Dustie.

All winners will receive a 3D plastic miniature designed by VOLT author Emerson Matsuuchi’s company and a free copy of VOLT. Thanks to everyone who participated for their great robot designs.

For all those who want to further personalise their VOLT, there is now also the possibility to create their own VOLT maps. For this purpose, there is a generator at volt.heidelbaer.de in which you can combine your favourite fields from the different cities and thus create your own challenges. You can then download the map as a PDF, print it out and test it in the real game.
